Events. Talking Inclusive Economies

Marcelo Vieta

The Centre for Learning, Social Economy & Work (CLSEW) (which I co-direct together with Prof. Peter Sawchuk), in collaboration with UTSC's Institute for Inclusive Economies and Sustainable Livelihoods (directed by Prof. Sergio Montero), the Atkinson Foundation, and the School of Cities, is  co-hosting the “Talking Inclusive Economies” events on March 18 and 21.

On March 18, there will be a public discussion titled "A Framework to Advance Inclusive Economic Development in Toronto," featuring City of Toronto Councillor Alejandra Bravo (OISE/UofT AECD PhD Student), Kumsa Baker, Jack Copple, Mariana Mota, and Jenn Miller. This will be followed by a public talk by Prof. Manuel Pastor on his new book, Charging Forward: Lithium Valley, Electric Vehicles, and a Just Future, and his work on EVs and solidarity economies in California.

The Jack Quarter Lectureship on Social Economy will take place on March 21, with Prof. Jason Spicer presenting "The Role of Research in Making the Social Economy Matter in a World on Fire."

For more information, including registration, go to CLSEW.
