A team of us, university researchers together with leaders from Canada's co-op sector, set out to better understand the business transition option of converting to a co-operative. This type of business succession preserves jobs, addresses a growing business succession need in Canada, and helps keep communities vibrant and growing. But this option is often overlooked in Canada. We want to know why and what can be done to change that.
