"Occupy, resist, produce": Worker recovered workspaces in Argentina

As the unfolding research repository for Marcelo Vieta's PhD work, this blog will immerse you in my emerging thoughts on the community desires, the technological tensions, the democratic rationalizations, and the social and individual becomings of everyday life in Argentina's contemporary historical conjuncture. The emerging collection of insights, random thoughts, and experimental theoretical juxtapositions will ultimately inform my PhD dissertation on the most recent workers' control movement in Argentina. The Worker-Recovered Enterprises Movement in Argentina::An early essay of mine on the ERT movement in Argentina.
Between Jul. 9 and Aug. 15, 2005, I exclusively reported on my experiences with the argentina automista project's summer internship program, Occupy, Organize, and Produce: The Factories, Streets, and Dreams. This program introduced 19 university students and activists from Canada and the US to the nascent and promising worker recovered, worker-managed workspace movement and Argentina's newest social movements since Dec. 2001.
